SDS Eligibility Criteria

You must be a legal resident of one of the eligible countries participating in the SDS program.

Acceptance at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI)

You must have an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.

Payment of Tuition Fees

You must have paid the tuition fees for the first year of study at the DLI.

Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC)

You need to have a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of CAD $20,635 from a participating financial institution.

Medical Examination

You must undergo a medical examination from an approved panel physician.

English or French Language Proficiency

You need to demonstrate proficiency in either English or French by providing acceptable language test scores.
